We conducted an open experiment of ultra-teleoperation of heavy equipment using a control console similar to that of a real vehicle.

Taisei Corporation is developing construction technology by remote control and autonomy of construction machines for dam sediment control. The photo shows the teleoperation of an excavator and a demonstration of the loading operation of a manned dump truck.

The excavator was operated remotely from an operation console similar to that of the actual vehicle, which was set up in a conference room about 5 kilometers away from the test site. About 30 people participated in the experiment and observed the operation of the excavator in the remote operation room and at the site.
