We conducted a demonstration experiment of ultra-teleoperation of heavy equipment using multi-carrier communication.

Taisei Corporation is developing construction technology by remote control and autonomy of construction machines for dam sediment control. The photo shows a test of the running and excavation of the excavator by ultra-teleoperation by multi-carrier communication, and the operation in the teleoperation room.

In this test, we remotely controlled a backhoe using multi-carrier LTE line from a teleoperation room about 34 kilometers away from the Terauchi Dam. We have demonstrated that teleoperation is possible even in the mountains where only one carrier communication can reach.
