We conducted a public demonstration of ultra-teleoperation of heavy equipment using multi-carrier communication

Taisei Corporation is developing construction technology by remote control and autonomy of construction machines for dam sediment control. The photo shows an overview of ultra-teleoperation of heavy equipment using multi-carrier communication and a demonstration of running and excavation operations using a teleoperated excavator.

In this demonstration, we remotely controlled an excavator using multi-carrier LTE line from a remote operation room about 22 kilometers away from the Takataki Dam. About 30 people participated in the event and observed the operation of the excavator in the teleoperation room and on-site.
